Trio Rêverie
Trio Rêverie (Tanja Činč - piano, Mojca Jerman - violin and Katarina Leskovar - cello) has been active since 2012. Their mentors were Prof. Tomaž Lorenz at the Music Academy in Ljubljana and Prof. Chia Chou at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. They have additionally worked with many influential teachers, such as Trio di Parma, Chia Chou, Homero Francesch, Nora Chastain, Wen-Sinn Yang, Daniel Rowland, and Julian Arp.
The members of the trio have given numerous concerts at home and abroad. In Slovenia, they have performed at festivals such as Imago Sloveniae, Glasbena mladina ljubljanska and Glasbena mladina Slovenije, as well as at Gallus Fest, Festival Tartini, the concert series at Rače Castle, the Wolf Concert Series and the Kristalni abonma in Škofja Loka.
Abroad they have given concerts in Austria (Vienna), Italy (Trieste, Devin), Hungary (Budapest, Monoster), Switzerland (Kilchberg), Croatia (Zagreb), Germany (Bonn), France (Paris) and England (London). In September 2015, they went on a concert tour to Argentina, where they performed six concerts (four in Buenos Aires and two in the south of Argentina in Villa la Angostura and Bariloche).
They premiered two works by Slovenian composers written for them: In Memoriam Tomaž Lorenz by Uroš Rojko and Concert Tango for piano trio and symphony orchestra by Leon First, which they performed with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra under the baton of conductor Miha Rogina at the opening concert of the 2017 Imaga Sloveniae Summer Festival.
They won 1st prize at the International Grand Prize Virtuoso Competition (2015) and were selected as the overall winners of the competition at the final concert in Paris. In the same year, they were awarded 1st prize at the Primož Ramovš Competition for chamber groups. They were also prizewinners at the International Tartini Competition in Piran, where they won 1st prize and were absolute winners among chamber ensembles, and at the International Competition for Chamber Ensembles at the Bled Festival, where they won 2nd prize and 3rd prize.
In 2015 the Piano Trio recorded a promotional CD. The trio has been written about in various media. Articles, reviews and interviews about them have been published in newspapers.
